PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS

(1) We provide School Supplies and Educational Materials to more than two thousand children in our 22 partner villages every year.

(2) We have supplied thousands of life-saving Mosquito Nets to children, pregnant women, and the elderly in our 22 partner villages to help protect them from deadly malaria.

(3) We built and operate a Community Education Center in Kadiogne that provides additional classroom space to the elementary school and allows full enrollment of all children in the village.

Mission Statement
Kids of Kadiogne is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the education and health of children in northern Senegal, while facilitating cultural exchange between Americans and Senegalese.

OUR NAME
Our organization is named in honor of the children of Kadiogne, which is the small village that serves as our base of operations. ‘Kadiogne’ is the French spelling of the name of the village, and it is pronounced ‘KA-jon-ya’. You may notice that a word approximating ‘KaaYoñ’ appears in our logo. This is the name of the village as written in the local native language of Pulaar, but it contains a couple of letters that do not appear in the English alphabet and is far more difficult to pronounce.
